Yvonne Margaret Louise Thomas was born on September 23, 1934 to Thomas George and Mary Elizabeth Marriott in Bicester, U.K. She moved to Newfoundland in 1971 with the love of her life Ozzie (Gordon Murdock) Thomas, who passed away in 1994. She moved to Springdale in July 2004. Yvonne lived her life by a couple of mottos �� ��Trust in the Lord�� and ��Never judge another person until you have walked a mile in their shoes��. She was known for her generous spirit and many people in this area have been the recipient of her homemade crafts. When asked to list her most significant accomplishment, she replied without hesitation �� ��my seven beautiful daughters��. Since her daughters lived across Canada, Yvonne adopted Violet and Larry Croucher as her family and became a grandmother to Jennifer and Travis. Mourning her passing on February 14, are her daughters, the Croucher family and other relatives and friends. The funeral service was conducted at Green Bay Funeral Home by Pastors Bill and Lynette Cole on February 18. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, South Brook. Pallbearers were Luke and Glenn Thomas, Kenny and Nathan Budgell, Wilbert Heath and Larry Croucher. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home.
