It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Winnie Grace Heath of Robert's Arm, NL, age 80, announces her passing on March 3, 2023. She leaves to remember with fond and loving memories; her husband Bert Heath; daughter Camille (Troy) Wiseman; granddaughters Megan Wiseman and Emily Wiseman.

Winnie is predeceased by her parents Donald & Minnie Saunders; sisters Netta Saunders, May Earle, Jean Mitchell, Ivy Saunders, Dorothy Saunders; brothers John Saunders, Frank Saunders, Carl Saunders, Bruce Saunders.

Winnie was born to Donald and Minnie Saunders on August 8, 1942, in the little town of Griquet, on the northern peninsula.  She left home at the age of seventeen to start her career of teaching. After several years of teaching, she moved to Robert's Arm, where she met the love of her life, Bert. They were happily married for 54 years. Winnie was a devoted mother and grandmother- her daughter, Camille and granddaughters, Megan and Emily were her pride and joy.
Winnie had a passion for missions.  She would volunteer for VBS in the summer, travelling to small communities across the island.  She also travelled to Africa seven times, where she would share God's Word and feed the hungry.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm, NL, on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Craig Gaulton officiating. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Robert's Arm. Pallbearers were Troy Wiseman, Carl Saunders, Eldon Saunders, Austin Saunders, Ford Heath, Pleman Wiseman. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
