It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Wilmore Clarence Roberts of Triton, NL, age 69, announces his passing on September 25, 2022. He leaves to mourn and remember, a life time of wonderful memories his wife, Daphne Roberts; daughter, Krista (Lorne) Hamlyn; step-daughter Amy (Russell) Roberts; step-son, Deon (Roselie) Roberts; grandchildren, Kylie Hamlyn, Kendyl Hamlyn, Myah Roberts, & Kyland Roberts; brother, Orvin Roberts (Diane Stein); sisters, Bonnie (Don) Roberts, Winnie (Lindy) Vincent.

Wilmore is predeceased by his parents, Ross (2018) and Beryl Roberts (2015).

Wilmore Roberts was born in Springdale, Newfoundland on December 6, 1952, the firstborn son of Ross and Beryl Roberts. Wilmore was the oldest of two boys and two girls, his younger brother Orvin and sisters Bonnie and Winnie. He grew up in Jim's Cove and attended the Pentecostal school in Triton, graduating high school in Roberts Arm. He attended trade school in Grand Falls in 1973 to become a millwright. He then went to Labrador to work but got too homesick and returned home. He met the love of his life in Daphne in 1978 and they were married in January 1979. Not long after their daughter Krista was born in January 1980. Wilmore was known all over Green Bay for his house painting skills. He also worked building houses, in the Triton sawmill and seasonally in the fish plant. Always working hard for his family, he was often known to work 16 hours days. Wilmore got saved at a young age and could always be found at church whenever the doors were open. He loved to record the services and give out preaching cassettes and books to whoever he could. In his late 50's he developed early onset dementia. This past Sunday, after attending church and enjoying a good cooked Sunday dinner and a short walk, he passed away peacefully at home with his wife close by.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton, NL. on Friday, September 30,2022 at 2 pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.  Interment was at the Triton Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were Deon Roberts, Orvin Roberts, Keith Roberts, Allan Roberts, Roy Roberts, Wade Smith. Honorary pallbearer was Amy Roberts.
