It is with great sadness that the family of the late Willie Pearce Simms announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 82 years, surrounded by his loving family.

Willie leaves to mourn with loving and lasting memories, his wife of 61 years, Betty; children, Tony, Perry (Pam), Trevor (Wanda-Lee), & Kareena (Kerry); grandchildren, Chad (Stephanie), Joshua (Anna), Gregory, Nicholas (Jasmine), & Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Ava, Jane, Penelope, & Jaxon; sister, Juanita Campbell; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, relative and friends.

Willie is predeceased by his parents, Josiah & Evangeline Simms; siblings, Harvey, Eric, Jim, Derick, Carrie, Ethel, Melita, Celia; and in infancy, Otto & Salomie.

The public visitation will take place Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Green Bay Funeral Home, 145 Cpl. Bouzane Blvd., Springdale, NL.

The funeral service will take place, Friday, May 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Springdale Pentecostal Church, 140 Little Bay Road, Springdale, NL.

The interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Springdale, NL.
