Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wayne Arthur Yorke, age 66, of Pilley''s Island, NL announces his passing at Central NF Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on September 22, 2014. He was a simple man who loved a simple life-style. He dearly loved his wife, June, who was the love of his life. He also had a great love for his children who were never far from his thoughts. Wayne ministered to numerous people. His main goal in life was to see the lost saved. While still a human, he was subjected to imperfections but he truly showed Jesus living through him. His constant prayer was that the Lord would take him to his heavenly home and that his ministry would live on through his gospel cd. The cd that he produced with June was recorded and released on August 4, 2014, just one week before he became incapacitated. Wayne is looking forward to his reunion with you on the streets of gold. He is pre-deceased by father: Arnold; mother: Gladys; brothers: James and Cecil. He leaves to remember the wonderful life that he lived, his wife: June; son: Steven (Bianca); daughter: Lisa (Chrit); step-daughter: Brenda; grandchildren: Matthew (Alyssa) and Melissa (Adam); great-grandchild:Caitlyn, brothers: Ralph (Geraldine), Wilfred (Lynn) and Lewis; sisters: Marjorie, Pasty (Archie), Eileen (Nick) and Barbara (Fred). The Celebration of Life service was held from The Salvation Army Citadel, Pilley''s Island, on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Major Lindsay Oxford officiating.
