Wavey Pearl
Anthony
May 8, 1957 — Mar 16, 2022
Triton
It is with great sadness the family of the late Wavey Anthony (nee Winsor) announces her passing on March 16, 2022 at the Green Bay Health Center, Springdale, NL at the age of 64 years.
Wavey leaves to remember with fond and loving memories her son, Adam Anthony (Christina); parents, Doreen and Cecil Winsor; sister, Colleen Roberts (Dean); nieces, Brittany Roberts and Denene Miller (Tristan); great-niece and nephews, aunts, uncles and other extended family members and friends.
Wavey grew up in Triton, NL and left when she was 17 years old to explore other opportunities in different cities within Canada and the United States. She held different jobs such as working at the Globe and Mail in Toronto and as a librarian in Marathon. Wavey was always known to be adventurous and loved the outdoors. In her younger years she lived in Florida on a sailboat! She talked about this experience often.
On June 7, 1988, her pride and joy Adam was born. She loved her son deeply and always had his best interests at heart. She talked to Adam often and in her last days of sickness her face lit up when she would talk with him. She was very proud of him.
A few years ago, Wavey decided to move to Thunder Bay Ontario from Marathon. It was here, she said she found her true self. She had many good friends who were like her extended family.
Wavey had a true love for life! She loved music and could be found at the legion and other venues when live music was playing. She also loved to dance and wore her dancing shoes wherever she went! Her favorite song was Forever Young and she listened to this song until her final hours…
Wavey was very independent and a kind soul. She was a friend to many. Throughout her sickness her strength was evident and inspiring. She will always be remembered to have fought her battle right to the end.
Celebration of Life Service to be announced at a later date.
Forever in our Hearts and Forever Young!
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
