Wallace James
Weir
Nov 19, 1932 — Apr 21, 2020
Robert's Arm, NL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace James Weir, age 87, of Robert's Arm, NL announces their Uncle's passing from the Central NL Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
Wallace was born on November 19, 1932 to Theophilus and Elizabeth (Holmes) Weir of Little Bay Islands, which was his home with his family until Wallace settled to Roberts Arm in 1972. He was a local fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors and going in the woods, and he loved to walk (dart) everywhere chatting with those he would see along the way. Wallace loved to go berry picking and trout fishing with friends. He loved to hand carve beautiful wooden schooners and fishing boats along with making miniature fishing nets.
He was predeceased by his parents Theophilus and Elizabeth (Holmes) Weir; infant brother Willis Weir; sister Meta Short; nephew Harvey James; brothers-in-law Wilbert James, Everett Langdon, Norman Short.
Wallace leaves to remember the wonderful life that he lived, his sister Delphine (James) Landgon; nieces and nephews, who all knew and loved him as Uncle Wally - Lorraine (Vaden), Dean (Jewel), David (Doreen), Sherry, Allison (Don), Violet (Fernando), Keith, Raymond & Tina, as well as many great nieces and nephews. He will be surely missed but not forgotten by his family and friends.
"Gone But Not Forgotten - Ever Remembered, Ever Loved - Forever in our Hearts!"
