It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence "Vickie" Clara Wiseman (nee Locke) of Springdale, NL, age 90, announces her passing on Wednesday, June 07, 2017 at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale, NL.

Florence Vicy Clara Locke (Wiseman), known to family and friends as Vickie or Victoria was born November 24, 1926, to John and Maggie Locke of Little Bay Islands. In 1945, she married her school sweetheart the late Malcolm Wiseman of Little Bay Islands and who was also born on November 24, 1926.

She attended church at the United and The Salvation Army churches with much enjoyment and receiving many blessings. She loved singing or humming hymns. When time availed she liked sewing, baking especially her donuts and brownies, which both her children and grandchildren immensely enjoyed.

Vickie was a very warm and loving person and her life was mostly devoted to her family, whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed doing whatever possible for them at all times. Peacefully Vickie departed from this life and was promoted to glory on June 07, 2017 at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex with family members present.

Pre-deceased by husband Malcolm Wiseman; sons Barry Wiseman, Reed Wiseman; parents John and Maggie Locke; sisters Lillian Roberts, Gladys Roberts; brothers Piercy Locke, Freeman Locke.

She leaves to remember the wonderful life that she lived daughters Ruth (John) Ryan, Pauline (Gilbert) Simms; son Dempsey (Irma) Wiseman; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Wiseman; grandchildren Kimberly (Shane) Stickland, Janet (Mark) Baker, Cynthia Burton, Welson Ryan, Amanda Simms (Terry Locke), Justin Simms (Emily Reese), Shane (Ashley) Simms, Jamie (Lori) Wiseman, Jill (Peter) Cabral; great-grandchildren Clair Stickland, Maxwell Baker, Malcolm Baker, Kyra Burton, Travis Wiseman, Parker Wiseman, Jessica Cabral, Jenna Cabral, Nicholas George, Victoria George, Nevaeh Simms, Griffin Simms; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Vickie left indelible memories for her family and friends to cherish. Gone Home!!

The Celebration of Life service was held from The Salvation Army, Springdale, NL on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Majors Collin and Jackie Abbott officiating. Interment was at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Cherry Crescent, Springdale, NL. The pallbearers were Shane Simms, Jamie Wiseman, Justin Simms, Welson Ryan, Amanda Simms, Kimberly Stickland. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Bill Weeks, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford at Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
