Veneita
Winsor
d. Oct 12, 2012
Veneita Audrey Georgina Winsor
March 12, 1931 - October 12, 2012
It is with sadness that the family of the late Veneita Winsor, age 81,announces her passing at Green Bay Health Care Center on Friday, October 12, 2012.
Veneita was born in Corner Brook to the late George & Ida White. On June 22, 1954, she married Mabrey Winsor of Triton and together they raised 8 beautiful children.
Predeceased by her husband, Mabrey (July 2011); Parents; and baby brother, Ross.
Left to mourn her passing are her six sons Garry (Barb), John (Diane), Dean (Nicole), Merrick (Jeanette), Danny (Denise), and Ian (Michelle); two daughters Carolyn (Lorne) and Suzanne (Lloyd); 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters Bernice (Lewis) and Maisie (Max); three brothers Clarence (Marina), Eric (Dora) and Woodrow (Rowena); and a large number of relatives and close friends.
Mom was always a stay at home mom. Raising eight children was a chore most days, but it was the highlight of her life. Prior to raising her family, she worked as a bookkeeper at Goodyear House (West Street) in Corner Brook, a job her family heard her speak of quite often through the years. After spending three years in Corner Brook, they moved their family to Triton and then in July 1970, moved to Springdale. Mom was a kind, gentle lady, who loved life and always had a smile. She and Dad loved to travel. They made many trips visiting their children far and near. She will always be remembered for her quiet mannerism - never very loud, that''s for sure. Her 8 children were with her in her last days, reminiscing about their growing up years. She smiled quite often along with them.
We love you Mom (Nan), and we miss you. Thanks for your patience and your love.

The funeral service was held from The Salvation Army, Springdale on October 14, 2012, officiated by Major Robert Kean with interment at Salvation Army Cemetery, Springdale. The pallbearers were her eight children Garry, John, Dean, Carolyn, Suzanne, Merrick, Danny & Ian.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail (Noel) Hancock and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
