It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Vance Douglas Budgell, announces his passing at his residence in Triton, NL, aged 55 years.

Vance leaves to remember with fond and loving memories; his wife, Selena Budgell; sons, Dustin(Kayla), & Jarvis (Erica); grandchildren, Laci Budgell, Brody Budgell, Kate Budgell, Cole Budgell, & Maddison Rice; parents, Don & Joan Budgell; brother, Sheldon (Christine).

He is predeceased by his grandparents, Royburn & Naomi Budgell, Joseph & Effie Fudge; uncle, Barry Budgell.

Being a man of passion for the water, Vance loved any opportunity to jump in his boat, whether it was sealing,turring, or even lobster fishing at the age of 14. He spent many years involved in the family business, buying fish and off-loading boats at Budgell's Sea Products. Music was also dear to his heart, a guitar or harmonica was never too far away. The things most important to Vance were his family, smiling, and telling a joke to make your day a little brighter. What always made his day was the sound of his grandchildren coming through the door. Vance took great pride in his wife, his two boys, and the life both he and Selena made together.

The Celebration of Life Service was held from The Salvation Army Church, Triton, NL on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Majors Garry & Sandra Ward officiating. The pallbearers were Sheldon Budgell (brother), Jeffrey Cooke (nephew), Craig Budgell (friend), Mike Williams (friend), Malcolm Roberts (friend), and Roger Strickland (friend). Interment was at the Triton Evergreen Cemetery, Triton, NL.

The funeral service was live-streamed from The Salvation Army Triton Corps or Cathy Winsor's  Facebook page.

The family would like to say special thanks to Dr. Dicks, Kim, Becky, the staff of Ultrasound Grand Falls-Windsor Department, Ruth Wells, and Amy Wiseman for showing your care and compassion to Vance during those difficult days.

Donations in Vance's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
