It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family of the late Susan Roberta Gavin, age 40, of Springdale, NL announces her passing from the Central NL Regional Health Care Centre, on Monday, November 30, 2020.

Susan Roberta Gavin was born in Baie Verte, NL, on November 13, 1980, to Doug and Maureen Gavin. She was a baby sister for Cindy; Cindy was very proud of her and took great joy in being her older sister.

She grew up with her family in LaScie, NL where she attended school and made countless friends.

In 2002 Susan moved to St. John's where she gave birth to her precious daughter Gracee, on November 28, 2002;  where she began her life as a mom. While in St. John's, she studied to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. In 2005, Susan moved to Ontario and worked as a nurse for several years there. She later moved back to Newfoundland with her daughter and parents.

Susan struggled greatly over the past few years with her health. Her life was not easy; it is not for us to understand what she went through. But we do know she had the kindest heart. Susan would give away whatever she had to give.

She loved God, her daughter and her family. She also had a special dog, Max.

Susan leaves to remember the wonderful life that she lived, her daughter Gracee Gavin (Brady Penney); parents Maureen and Doug Gavin; sister Cindy Beattie; niece Shannyn Beattie; nephew Liam Beattie; aunts and uncles, as well as other extended family and friends.

Susan will be missed by her family and friends, but not forgotten. "Ever Remembered, Ever Loved - Forever in our Hearts!"

The Celebration of Life service was held from Springdale Pentecostal Church, Springdale, on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Lindsey Foster officiating, assisted by Pastor Marvin Burton (cousin). Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines, the Celebration of Life Service for the late Susan Roberta Gavin will be for family and invited guests only.
