Stephen Melvin Rideout
1967 - 2012

It is with sadness that the family of the late Stephen Rideout,age 44,announces his sudden passing on November 10, 2012.

Stephen Melvin Rideout was born on December 21, 1967 to Melvin and Betty Jean. On April 6, 1996, he married Paula Strickland. They have one son, Brady. Steve loved the outdoors. Brady and his Dad enjoyed cutting wood together and many other activities. Steve loved to read. He enjoyed beachcombing with Paula and Brady, playing trivia games and board games with his family. He was a great Jeopardy player. Steve also loved to cook, especially a good pot of soup. He was always eager to drive his Mom and Dad to the store for groceries and they could always depend on him to get them to their various medical appointments. Steve was a very private person but he enjoyed being with his buddies and talking about world events.

Left to mourn their sad loss are: wife, Paula; son Brady, parents Melvin and Betty Jean; brothers: Paul, John, Jeff; sisters: Lorraine, (Brent) and Trudy, the Strickland family, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends, especially his buddies.

The funeral service was at the Salvation Army, Pilley''s Island on November 15, 2012, officiated by Majors Marvin and Vera Youden with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley''s Island. The pallbearers were his son Brady, brothers John and Jeff, sisters Lorraine and Trudy, and his buddy Pat Boyde.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail (Noel) Hancock and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
