It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stella Marjorie Wiseman, age 90 of  Lushes Bight, NL announces her passing on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Central Newfoundland Hospital.

Stella Marjorie Wiseman was born on January 19, 1928 to Wilson and Priscilla Colbourne of Lushes Bight. Stella married Lloyd Wiseman of Little Bay Islands, NL on May 31, 1949 and they were blessed with 13 children, 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.

She was a talented knitter, avid gardener, loved to travel, and was an Avon representative for 15 years. She was a wonderful cook and loved to prepare her family's favourite dishes or desserts when they visited. Stella was a strong believer in the importance of education and pushed her children to excel in their studies. She was very proud of all their accomplishments. Stella was also an active member of her church and community.

Stella lived a full life filled with family and friends who loved her. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, known for her giving nature and unconditional love. On September 26, 2018, Stella passed away peacefully. In the hours before her death, she was surrounded by many of her family. She leaves behind a great legacy and will be dearly missed.

She is predeceased by her husband Lloyd Wiseman; sons Baby Eugene Wiseman, Brian Wiseman; great-grandchildren Scott Brett, Cruz Hewlett; parents Wilson and Priscilla Colbourne; sisters Mabel Short, Winnie Soper, Meta Fudge; brothers Rueben Colbourne, Norman Colbourne, Ross Colbourne, James Colbourne, Rupert Colbourne, Bramwell Colbourne.

Stella leaves to remember the wonderful life that she lived, daughters Bernetta (Wilson) Burton, Shirley (Norman) Slade, Daphne Wiseman, Dianne Wiseman; sons Selby (Marion) Wiseman, Bruce (Gladdale) Wiseman, Mervin (Eileen) Wiseman, Neil (Dale) Wiseman, Dwayne (Tammy) Wiseman, Craig (Kim) Wiseman, Todd Wiseman; grandchildren Vera, Donald, Connie, Jamie, Michelle, Glen, Norma, Jonathan, Crystal, Chan, Merissa, Nicholas, Marcus, Monica, Jeremy, Jerry, Cody, Rebecca, Emma, Robyn, Joey; 24 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Gone But Not Forgotten – Forever In Our Hearts!

The Celebration of Life service was held from The United Church, Beaumont, on September 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Mrs. Barbara Noble officiating. Interment was at The United Church Cemetery, Lushes Bight. Pallbearers were sons Mervin Wiseman, Neil Wiseman, Craig Wiseman, Todd Wiseman, Dwayne Wiseman, Bruce Wiseman. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
