Stanley Locke 1940-2013
It is with sadness that the family of the late Stanley Locke, age 73 of Springdale, NL announces his passing on December 11, 2013. Stanley was born to Garfield & Cleopatra Locke at Springdale on July 24, 1940. He is pre-deceased by his parents, brothers, George & Bill and sister, Louise. He leaves to mourn his partner, Linda; brother, Aubrey; sisters, Joan Winsor, Rose Booth (Peter), Jennie (Tom) Young, Lois (Bruce) Newbury, Lorraine (Wayne) Heath, Alice (Allan) Curtis, Roslyn (Ron) Oxford, Jean (Abbe) Lussier; Linda's children,Tammy (Robert) Godsalve,Teddy (Jody) Locke, Cory (Michelle) Locke; special niece, Karman MacIntosh. Stanley was a hard working man who worked with Hewlett's, Pelley's Enterprises and with Department of Highways as a Truck Driver. One of his loves was the woods. He loved to take his chainsaw and cut firewood. He was always on the go from early morning until evening time. He made many friends along the way that were never forgotten. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. The funeral service took place on December 14,2013 from The Springdale Pentecostal Church with Pastor Lindsey Foster officiating,assisted by Pastors Norman Joy and Howard Head. Interment was at The Springdale Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were his sisters, Lois,Lorraine,Jennie,& Alice ;Friends Elmo Quinlan and Ford Young.
