Obituary

Simeon George Budgell 1943-2012
It is with sadness that the family of the late Simeon Budgell announces his passing at The Health Science Centre, St. John''s on July 15, 2012. He was born to William and Rosanne Budgell on June 11, 1943 in Middle Arm, NL.
He was a man of many words (yes, some words you couldn''t understand) you see, he could write his own dictionary of Simeon''s Words'', and if he did you might not understand. Motors, transmissions or anything else that burned gas or diesel, you would always be sure to find him working on something. Let''s not forget the callused-stained hands, hard and rough, but gentle and soft enough to pick up a baby when the chance arose. We often heard, "Where''s Sim?" or "Where''s Budgell?" Up in da woods b''ye!" "Yes b''ye", he''d say, "It''s never a bad day in da woods." With the saw roaring and the sawdust flying everywhere, it was just another day for Sim. Let''s not forget the good old Ranger that he talked about so much that would outlast any machines around. So if there''s any handy work to be done in heaven, you can rest assured that Sim''s name is first on the list. by Denis Torraville, son.
He will be missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Mae: brothers Claude, Wilfred and Bert; sisters Hilda and Beatrice, He leaves to mourn his wife, Marjorie; children Simeon, Denis, George, Kathy(Dale),Joyce(Michael) and Tammie; step children William(Denise),Edward(Diane),Gilbert, Gerald (Wanny), Neil, Kathy, and Diane(Wayne).Brothers Alfred(Cheryl), Calvin(Joanne),Wesley(Marie), Gerald(Edna),Cecil(Eileen), Arthur(Rosella), John(Louise) and Sam(Betty);Sisters Eileen(Ralph)Pearl and Meta; son-in-law Leon, sister-in-law Velma; brother-in-law David Mills;38 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren and a large number of other relatives and friends.
