It was with great joy and yet a touch of sadness that the family of Shawn Roy Fowlow announce that the moment of his transition and change had come and that he passed into the arms of Jesus at the age of 52, on the evening of April 25 ^th with members of his family at his bedside from the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale, NL.

Shawn was a special brother not only for his physical challenges but for the love and meaning he brought into the life of his family and those people who cared for his needs. Shawn was a true music lover and enjoyed the simple pleasure of his radio so much.

Shawn will now sleep in Jesus along with his parents Garfield and Lavinia, sisters Betty Lou and Ella Mae to await a new body and reunion day.

Shawn would want everyone to know of the special bond that he shared with Milton, his brother, with whom he lived with all his life. Shawn would say, "Milton, I can never repay you for staying at my side but know that I love you brother."

Now your promise has been kept family

For you cared for me to my last breath.

You loved me unconditionally,

Sacrificed so much for me.

Now, I'll wait for you

Until we meet face to face

And I will show you all over heaven.

Now, I no longer struggle to comprehend.

Now, I understand God had another plan.

Now, I am special not for my needs

But because of His redemption

The angels are jealous of me.

Shawn is predeceased by his parents Garfield and Lavina Fowlow; sisters Mary Betty Lou Fowlow, Ella Mae Fowlow.

Leaving to remember with fond and loving memories are his brothers Ford Fowlow (Joy Fifield), Milton Fowlow, Winston (Ethel) Fowlow, Frank (Tassie) Fowlow, David (Pauline) Fowlow, Ephraim Fowlow (Ivy Hynes); sisters Hazel (Allister) Whalen, Geraldine (Keith) Cogswell, Nellie (Milton) Dyke; Home Care Support Workers Ester Burton, June Biles, as well as other extended family and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service was held from Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, South Brook, on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kerry Northcotte officiating. Interment was at the South Brook Pentecostal Cemetery, South Brook. The pallbearers were brothers Milton Fowlow, David Fowlow, Frank Fowlow, Winston Fowlow; sisters-in-law Pauline Fowlow, Ethel Fowlow. Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
