It is with great sadness that the family of the late Selby Adam George McKay announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale, NL, at the age of 88.

Selby leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Lewis McKay, Richard McKay, Robert McKay, and Diane Burton. He will be dearly remembered by his grandchildren: Serena McKay, Hannah McKay, Ricky (Shelley) Burton, Rachel Burton, and Bobby McKay, as well as a number of cherished great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Warrick (Ruth) McKay, Baxter (Fannie) McKay, Eileen Matthews, and Joan (Ford) Mesher, along with many other relatives and friends.

Selby is predeceased by his beloved wife, Geraldine; his parents, Harold and Winnie McKay; and his siblings, Michael, Lewis, Patrick, Rex, Gladys, Daisy, Cora, and two infant sisters.

The public visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM–4:00 PM and 7:00 PM–9:00 PM at Calvary Pentecostal Church, South Brook, NL.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM from Calvary Pentecostal Church, South Brook, NL, with Pastor Kerry Northcotte officiating. Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, South Brook, NL.
