It is with sadness that the family of the late Scott Allen Winsor of Triton, NL, age 80, announces his passing on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale.
Scott was born at Triton, on August 5, 1939 to parents, Allen & Fannie Winsor. Later in life, he married the love of his life, Evelyn. They enjoyed many years together with their family, especially the grandchildren.
Throughout his life he worked as a fisherman. He also would catch lobsters from his own speedboat. Spending time on the water was his life! Scott was very creative, artistic, and poetic. He found pleasure in making cardboard boats from bristol board, etc. He would spend many hours writing poems about life and current events that were happening around him. Many of his drawings, especially of boats and schooners, were on display and are now loving keepsakes for his family.
Above all that he loved, serving His Lord and supporting his church was paramount. He faithfully attended Maranatha Pentecostal church. He also enjoyed attending The Salvation Army Men's Fellowship.
He is predeceased by his 1 st wife Pearl Winsor; wife Evelyn Winsor; parents Allen and Fanny Winsor; brothers Bertram Winsor, Chesley Winsor, Gordon Winsor, Garland Winsor; sisters Olive Anthony, Bertha Lush, Rita Roberts; brother-in-law Reginald Roberts.
Scott leaves to remember the wonderful life that he lived, his stepsons Chris (Stella) Barnes, Roy (Sherry) Barnes, Harold Barnes, Scott (Vanessa) Barnes; stepdaughter Violet (Isaac) Cramm; stepdaughter-in-law Arlene Templeman; sister Bride Roberts; grandchildren Gina (Anthony) Edmund, Michelle Cramm (Adam), Jessica Cramm (Tyler), Felicia (Mike) Moroz, Robin Barnes, Kaylee Barnes, Christopher Barnes, Michaela Barnes, Ashton Barnes; great-grandchildren Mariah, Faith, Triton, Hunter, as well as nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends. Forever Remembered and Ever Loved!
The Celebration of Life Service was held from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton, on Sunday, October 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Interment was at the Triton Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews Hubert Roberts, Albert Roberts; great nephew Christopher Roberts; nephew-in-law Clarence Short; friends Roy Williams, Warrick Winsor, Don Budgell, Lawrence Budgell, Cecil Winsor. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
