SADIE MYRTLE ROBERTS

July 30, 1928 - August 17, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sadie Myrtle Roberts, age 86, of Triton, NL announces her passing at Valley Vista Senior''s Home. Sadie was born July 30, 1928 in Twillingate to Donald and Carrie Greenham. She met Lemeul Roberts of Triton, NL and they were married on January 22, 1947 and together they raised five sons. Sadie loved her sons dearly and had a great love for many other things in life. She enjoyed the outdoors - especially planting flowers each summer. Pre-deceased by her parents: Donald and Carrie Greenham; husband Lemeul; sons: Terry, Oliver and Wayne; sisters: Blanche, Pansy, Evelyn, Elsie and baby sister; and brothers: Reg, Ross and baby brother. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Stephen (Yonna) and Vence (Gail); sisters: Doreen and Betty (Jim); brothers: Max (Violet) and Ellison "Bud" (Ruth); daughter-in-law: Violet; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren along with a large number of relatives and friends. Funeral Service for Sadie took place on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 2 PM from Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale with Major Lindsay Oxford officiating. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Triton. Honorary Pall Bearers were: Edward Watson and Bernard Clearly. Pall Bearers were Stephen Roberts (son), Vence Roberts (son), Yonna Roberts (daughter-in-law), Gail Pittman, Chris Roberts (grandson) and Preston Fudge. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Chris Morgan, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
