Ruby M.
Tizzard
May 2, 1930 — Sep 20, 2019
Springdale, NL
It is with sadness that the family of the late Ruby M. Tizzard (nee Wells), age 89, of Springdale, NL, announces her passing from Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor.
Ruby was born to Samuel and Susie Wells on May 2, 1930. She married the love of her life Edward "Duff" Tizzard on April 22, 1949. They were like love birds, who always showed their love to each other and their children.
Ruby had a giving spirit and a servant's heart that radiated from her while she 'stole' a piece of everyone's heart, as soon as they met her. Her magnetic loving personality drew everyone close to her. She had a special adoration for children, probably because she was a child at heart. Ruby had a contagious laugh and joy that flowed from her beautiful spirit. She wore her heart on her sleeve, cried tears of joy about...well ...everything!
Her family was paramount in her life; she loved them with everything she had.
Ruby was the best cook! Loved to feed everyone who came through her door, even if it was just a tea bun with bread and butter and topped it off with hugs and kindness. Her creativity, caring and compassionate personality won the hearts of many.
Ruby's greatest love was for her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She was a giant in her walk with God, whom she trusted in and depended upon in joys and sorrows. Ruby was faithful to the Lord and her church. She had a passion and strong desire for all of her family to have a relationship with Jesus.
She is predeceased by her husband Edward "Duff" Tizzard; parents Samuel and Susie Wells; sisters Hazel Stirling, Belle Wells, Marie Wells.
Ruby leaves to remember the wonderful life that she lived, her sons Wilfred (Joanie) Tizzard, Jerry (Pearl) Tizzard, Kurt (Carla) Tizzard, Sheldon (Ina) Tizzard; grandchildren Tonya (Jamie) Janes, Steven Tizzard, Lynnette (Nathan) Sarnecki, Corey (Cynthia) Tizzard, Susan (Kenny) Clarke, Michael (Victoria) Tizzard, Stephanie (Ryan) Butt, Cynthia (Johnny) Bray, Brian (Pearl) Tizzard, Lucas (Stacia) Tizzard, Marcel Tizzard; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; nephew Larry (Margaret) Stirling; niece Amanda (Jason) Hogan, as well as other family members and friends. Ever Remembered, Ever Loved – Forever In Our Hearts!
