It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Roy Vincent, 72 of Triton announces his passing on July 9th, 2022. Roy was born on Vincent's Point to Ron and Elsie Vincent on July 12, 1949.
Roy Vincent lived his life as a fun-loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He adored his wife, Golda, his son Jason (Sonia), daughter Janice (Gerald) and grandkids Emma Hicks, Kayla Hicks, Alexandra Vincent and Jayden Vincent. He was also the baby brother to Trixie (Bill) to which he held a strong bond with and brother-in-law to Ernest (Dora), Elmo (Dale), Frank (Josie), Ruby, Bride (Cyril) and Edmond (Jeanette).
He wanted nothing more than the very best for the family he loved. Roy found great happiness in spending time with those he loved. He was mischievous and had an infectious laugh. It was his great sense of humor that kept everyone laughing and he shared many stories over the years. Roy will be dearly missed by his many friends and loved ones.
Roy married Golda Fudge of Brighton on August 25th, 1973. It was not long after, their son Jason was born and two years later, their daughter Janice was born. It was around that time Roy obtained his welding certificate enabled him to follow his dream of becoming a welder. His career took him to many places including Abiti-Price, Wabush Mines and finally the Iron Ore Company of Canada where he spent 26 years before retiring. Upon retirement Roy returned to his happy place, Triton. He spent many hours enjoying the view which will be displayed on the cover of the funeral bulletin.
Roy was predeceased by his parents Ron and Elsie Vincent and in-laws Chesley and Hilda Fudge.
The Celebration of Life service was held from The Salvation Army, Triton-Brighton Community Church, on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm, with Majors Terry and Roxann Feltham officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the professional and loving care of Harry Oxford and Julia Budgell of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
Donations can be made in Roy's memory to The Salvation Army Building Fund, Triton/Brighton Corps.
