It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Rodney Paul Gray of South Brook, NL, age 58, announces his passing on October 18, 2025.

Rodney leaves to remember with fond and loving memories; his wife of 39 years Maxine; his children Amanda (Nicholas) Winsor, Mandy (Christopher) Reid, Kayla, Monica (Jake), Megan (Aaron), Rodney Jr. (Lexi), Katie; 11 grandchildren Raychel-Lynn Reid, Leah Winsor, Emma Reid, Brooklyn Winsor, Lexie Reid, Wesley Young, Jaxson Oxford, Evangeline Gray, Mia Oxford, Hunter Oxford, Easton O'Dea;

Rodney grew up in Robert's Arm with his mother Gloria and at the age of 5 she met and married Harold Gray whom he adored and anyways called Daddy. Harold instantly fell in love with Rodney and adopted him as his own. He grew up with his sisters Doreen, Beulah & his baby sister, Tina whom he loved dearly.

Later in life he searched for his biological father and found him to be Norman Freake of Grand Falls Windsor. He then inherited 5 brothers and 7 sisters; Ronald, Eddie, Dave, Mike, Kevin, Barb, Shirley, Becky, Robbie, Lilly, Jackie and Cindy which brought him more joy.

Rodney is predeceased by his parents Harold & Gloria; his biological father Norman Freake; brother David Freake and infant brother Alan; 2 infant grandsons William and Carson Reid.

The visitation will take place at Green Bay Funeral Home, 145 Cpl. S. Bouzane Blvd. Springdale, NL, Friday October 24, 2025, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held from Agape Christian Fellowship 30 Fernwood Drive, Botwood, NL, on Saturday October 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Hoyles officiating. Interment will follow at the South Brook Apostolic Cemetery, South Brook, NL.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
