Rita Phyllis Tulk
1932-2013
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Tulk,age 80 of Jackson's Cove, NL, announces her passing on June 13, 2013. Rita was born on November 17,1932 to William & Emma Prowse. She moved to Langdon's Cove where she met and married Stanley Tulk on October 24,1950. Together they had 12 children(5 boys and 7 girls). Rita was known for her love of hard work, her love of farming the land and raising livestock. She took great enjoyment at the end of the day from her accomplished labours. She was a generous lady and loved to share. If she had two things she would give away one and a half. Rita dearly loved her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to mourn her sons: Roy(Marie); Earl(Judy); Neil(Lisa); Clyde(Sally) & Bernard(Barbara);daughters Yvonne(Edgar); Audrey(Boyd); Gloria(Ralph); Brenda(Dennis); Phyllis(Tony); Wanda(Rudy); & Anne(Phil);brother, George Prowse;27 Grandchildren;29 Great-grandchildren & 1 Great-great-grandchild. The funeral service was held from the United Church, Jackson's Cove, NL on June 16,2013 officiated by Pastor Ben Brown, with interment at The United Church Cemetery, Jackson's Cove, NL. The pallbearers were her grandsons; Boyd, Randy, Glen, Edgar, Zachery & Mark.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock & Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
