Raymond Stanley Rideout

It is with sadness that the family of the late Raymond Rideout , age 71,announces his passing on Friday, August 30 ,2013.

Ray was born to John & Ida Rideout on January 15, 1942.He worked as a raise miner for 50 years. He worked all over Canada and other countries as well.He loved the outdoors! Trouting, ice-fishing, cutting wood, berry picking and of course a good lunch too! He took pleasure in giving away his catch of trout, rabbit, berries, etc to his friends and family. Ray showed kindness to everyone. He was content in every day and in every situation.He especially loved family get-togethers, which they did often. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; Tom & Morris. He leaves to remember the wonderful life that he lived; his wife Rose; stepsons: Jody(Deanne), Brian(Pamela), Morrissey(Sarah); brothers; Melvin(Effie), Chesley(Linda), sisters; Marjorie(Ross Reid),Jeannette(Henry Newbury),Maxine(Frank Blake),and Stella (Kye Canning). Step-grandchildren; Brittany, Ashley and Izabella. The Celebration of Life Servicewas held on Monday, September 2,2013 from King of Kings Pentecostal Church King's Point, Pastor Benjamin Brown officiating. Interment was at The Interfaith King's Point Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Laurie Card, John Canning, Morris Newbury, Don Thomas, Mike England and Brandon Compton. The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL
