Raymond Hewlett

It is with sadness that the family of the late Raymond Allen Hewlett,age 94,announces his passing on November 13, 2012.
Raymond was born May 28, 1918 to Pleman and Fanny Hewlett. On July 11, 1946 he married Clarice Hewlett. They lived in Port Anson until 1964 when they moved their family to Robert''s Arm. In his early years he fished in the summers and worked in the lumber woods in the winters. In 1954 he started his own general store in Port Anson then moved the business to Robert''s Arm in 1964. He operated this business until he semi-retired in 1980. In February 2012 he moved to Springdale Retirement Centre and in June 2012 he moved to Valley Vista Seniors Home where he passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife Clarice, (August 2012), four brothers and two sisters.He leaves to mourn six sons, Leander (Loris), Job (Gloria), Malcolm (Nola), Fred (Gail), Harold (Donna), Jimmy (Carolyn); 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Parsons and Ivy Goodwin and a large number of other close family and friends.
The funeral service was held from the Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert''s Arm on November 17, 2012, officiated by Pastor William Harnum with interment at Pentecostal Cemetery, Robert''s Arm. The pallbearers were his sons Leander, Job, Malcolm, Fred, Harold and Jimmy.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail (Noel) Hancock and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
