It is with sadness that the family of the late Raymond Earle, age 80, of Springdale, NL announces his passing on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

Raymond Stanley Earle was born on August 19, 1935 to Edward and Mary Earle of Springdale.

Raymond lived his life in Springdale and went to work in the logging industry at an early age. His first job saw him using a bucksaw and later a chainsaw. For nearly 20 years, he operated a timberjack for Bowaters and Kruger on the West coast of Newfoundland and Labrador.

In 1955, he married Sadie Bath of the Horse Islands and together they raised six children - Barry, Todd, Judy, Randy, Trent and Jackie. When he wasn''t working, Raymond spent his time cooking, hunting, fishing, cutting firewood and snowmobiling.

In 2007, Raymond and Sadie moved to Grand Falls-Windsor to be close to the dialysis unit at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre. They lived there for seven years before moving back to the Springdale Retirement Centre in 2014.

Raymond is predeceased by his parents Edward and Mary Earle, sister Mabel Heath and brothers Hughie and George.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Leaving to remember the wonderful life that he lived his wife Sadie; sons Barry (Daphne), Todd (Donna Baker), Randy (Elaine), Trent (Debbie Clarke); daughters Judy (Keith) Blackler, Jackie (Terry) Short; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Eddie (Karen); sisters Olive Clarke, Iris (Sherlock) Dicks; sister-in-law Vivian Earle; as well as nieces, nephews, many other extended family members and friends.

The Celebration of Life service was held from The Salvation Army, Springdale, NL on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Majors Collin and Jacqueline Abbott officiating. Interment was at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Cherry Crescent, Springdale, NL. Pallbearers were his children Barry, Todd, Randy, Trent, Judy, Jackie. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.

Donations in Raymond's memory can be made to the Dialysis Unit Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
