It is with sadness that the family of the late Ralph Reuben Pearce Anstey of South Brook, NL announces his passing on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale.

Ralph was born in Pilley's Island, on December 1, 1944. Ralph married the love of his life, Eileen Budgell, on September 6, 1967. Together Ralph and Eileen raised five children. They loved and cherished their seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Throughout his lifetime he was a hard worker. He retired as a logger. Ralph enjoyed spending time in the woods and working and relaxing at the cabin, he also enjoyed out in his boat fishing. The great outdoor activities were a big part of his life.

Above all, his love for the Lord was the deepest of all loves and it was a constant source of strength that sustained him throughout the difficult seasons of life. He attended Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, South Brook, until they moved to Springdale Retirement Centre in March 2019.

Ralph is predeceased by his parents Ralph and Stella Anstey; brothers Bert Anstey, Roland Anstey; great granddaughter Bella Newbury.

Leaving to remember with fond and loving memories are his wife Eileen Anstey; sons Dennis (Wanda) Anstey, Rodney (Rosanna) Anstey, David (Patsy) Anstey; daughters Betty (Randy) Pynn, Stella (Drew) Wells;  grandchildren Karen, Cody, Myranda, Alex, Ryan, Austin, Shianne; great-grandchildren Serenity, Aliee, Coby, Saoirse, Kale, Bella, Arabelle; brother Arthur (Gloria) Anstey; sisters Marion Guy, Georgina Sheppard, Geraldine (Selby) McKay, Olive Anstey, Lillian (Baxter) Chipp, Annie Hillyard, as well as other extended family and friends.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, South Brook, on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kerry Northcotte officiating. Interment was at the South Brook Pentecostal Cemetery, South Brook. Honorary pallbearers were daughters Betty Pynn, Stella Wells; granddaughter Karen Anstey. The pallbearers were sons Dennis Anstey, David Anstey, Rodney Anstey; grandsons Alexis Anstey, Ryan Pynn, Austin Pynn. Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
