It is with sadness that the family of the late Chesley "Ralph" Lush, age 71 of Triton, NL announces his passing at the Central NL Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

Ralph was born September 6, 1948 in Triton, NL to Gordon and Bertha Lush. He was one of ten children. He grew up in Triton where he met the love of his life Marcella Brinston.

Ralph and Marcella were married on July 11, 1970. They were blessed with three wonderful daughters – Kim, Kelly, and Keila. He always made time for his three girls and they were often seen hanging out at the stage, while he was having a yarn. Their family grew over the years to include two granddaughters – Chelsea and Hannah, four grandsons – Jess, Isaiah, Jake, and Riley. Their lives became complete with the love of their two great-grandchildren - Nevaeh and Gabe and they were awaiting their third Arya. Ralph loved his family; he was very kind and devoted to his seven sisters, two brothers and his numerous nieces and nephews. He loved each and every one of them and he will be missed.

During his life he took on many roles such as a fisherman, logger, labourer, and most importantly was his role as a husband and a dad.

He was very well known by his community.  Many hours were spent volunteering for the Triton Fire Department, Recreation Committee, and Triton Day Planning Committee. His love for sports kept him active with softball, hockey, darts, and a good game of cards.

Ralph took his final breathe on July, 7 2020 at 1:50 am surrounded by the love of his family, who will love and miss him for the rest of their lives; watch over us and keep us safe. We love you!

Ralph is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Bertha Lush; brother Pearce Lush; sister Linda Weir; brothers-in-law Donald Weir, Howard Brinston.

He leaves to remember the wonderful life he lived, his wife Marcella Lush; daughters Kim (Dwayne) Roberts, Kelly (Duane) Oake, Keila Lush (Ken Gardiner); grandchildren Chelsea Roberts, Isaiah Roberts, Jesse Oake, Jake Oake, Hannah Lush, Riley Lush; great-grandchildren Nevaeh Swingley, Gabe Swingley; brother Bruce Lush; sisters Melva (Harold) Wiseman, Beryl (Freeman) Ryan, Marie Brinston, Loretta (Gerald) Fudge, Rita Lush, Lorraine Lush; sister-in-law Evelyn Lush, as well as many other family members and friends. He will surely be missed by his family and friends, but not forgotten.

The Celebration of Life Service was held from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton, on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Interment was at the Triton Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were daughters Kim Roberts, Keila Lush; son-in-law Dwayne Roberts; brothers-in-law Gerald Fudge, Freeman Ryan; friend Clifford Roberts. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
