It is with sadness that the family of the late Bertram "Pearce" Winsor, age 72 of Triton, NL announces his passing at the Central NL Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, on Monday, March 16, 2020.
Pearce was born January 20, 1948 in Triton, NL to Garland and Violet Winsor. In his earlier years he worked at Whales Back Mine. He also spent time logging and fishing. In his later years he worked with Budgells Equipment and Rentals in Triton.
Pearce and Madge had a loving family of three daughters – Roxanne, Karrie-Lynn and Jennifer. He also had four grandchildren – Shelly, Shayla, Raelyn, and Miguel, also a great-granddaughter Jamie; whom he loved dearly.
After retiring, he spent his time making lobster pots, mending nets, and turr hunting. Pearce also spent lots of time with his friends gathering in the shed and on the wharfs. He will be surely missed by his family and friends but never forgotten.
Pearce is predeceased by his parents Garland and Violet Winsor; brother Chesley Winsor; infant sisters Bonnie Winsor, Marie Winsor.
He leaves to remember the wonderful life he lived, his spouse Madge Roberts; daughters Roxanne (Rod) King, Karrie-Lynn (Leo) Roberts, Jennifer (Rick) Whalen; grandchildren Raelyn Roberts, Miguel Whalen, Shelly Roberts (Ryan Elgie), Shayla (Dylan) Burton; great-granddaughter Jamie Warr; brothers Otto (Cindy) Winsor, George (Cathy) Winsor; sisters Christine (Kenneth) Whalen, Stella Dowden (Chris Barnes), Ida (Jimmy) Roberts, Bina (Collin) Cramm, as well as many other family members and friends. He will surely be missed by his family and friends, but not forgotten.

The Celebration of Life Service was held from the Salvation Army Citadel, Triton, on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Majors Terry and Roxann Feltham officiating. Interment was at the Triton Evergreen Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearer was grandson Miguel Whalen. Pallbearers were brothers-in-law Colin Cramm, Jimmy Roberts, Melvin Matthews, Jerome Roberts, Wilfred Roberts; friends Roy Roberts, Lloyd Mayo; cousin and friend Howard Simms. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
Donations: In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to assist the family.
