It is with sadness that the family of the late Pearce Rideout annouces his passing at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center on Friday, July 20,2012.

Pearce Dexter was born at Beaumont, Green Bay, August 20, 1936, to Ezra & Leah Rideout. He was one of eight children, sisters - Florence, Ruby, & Madeline and brothers - Bronson, Alwin, Albert and Frank. Pearce married Marie Morgan of Lushes Bight on June 7, 1958. They were married for 52 years. They had 6 children - Terry, Wavey, Maxine, Brian, Sherman and Elaine. They resided in Beaumont for 37 years, where he made a living as a fisherman. Then moved to Goose Bay, Labrador where he started a family business known as Rideout''s Construction Ltd., he ran this business for 18 years. Upon retirement he passed over the family business to two of his sons. After retirement he and his wife Marie, moved to Robert''s Arm, NL until they took upon residence at a senior''s apartment in Springdale, NL.There he stayed till he moved to his Heavenly home on July 20, 2012.After the passing of his wife Marie, he met Cleo Blackler whom he was going to marry. During retirement he loved to hunt and tend to his farm, where he grew vegetables, raised chickens, turkeys, etc., he was known as "farm man" to many. Pearce will be sadly missed by many family members and friends.
