It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pearce Eugene Hewlett of Robert''s Arm, NL, age 67, of Robert''s Arm, NL announces his passing, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale, NL.

Pearce Eugene Hewlett was born on March 4, 1948 to Gordon and Sylvia Hewlett in St. Anthony, NL. At the age of seven, his family moved to Robert''s Arm, NL.

In May of 1969, he married the love of his life, Lucy Parsons. Together they raised their family. He supported his family by working as a truck driver, a logger, and then as a janitor at Green Bay South Academy before retiring. Pearce enjoyed life; he liked outdoor activities, doing carpentry projects, attending church, and sing-a-long with family and friends.

He is predeceased by father Gordon Hewlett; son Robby Hewlett.

Pearce will be truly missed by all who knew him, he will never be forgotten and his memory will stay alive within the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves to mourn wife Lucy Hewlett; son Ricky (Dena) Hewlett; daughter Trixie (Fraser) Ryan; grandchildren Jonathan Hewlett, Sarah Hewlett, Laura Ryan, Gina Ryan, Honesty Hewlett; mother Sylvia Hewlett-Seymour; sisters Doris (Don) Parsons, Melita Rooney; as well as other extended family members and friends.

The Home Going service was held from Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert''s Arm, NL on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Pastors Bill and Judy Harnum officiating. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Robert''s Arm, NL. Honorary pallbearers brothers-in-law Augustas Roberts, Clifford Roberts. Pallbearers were brothers-in-law James Osmond, Colin Vincent; cousin Clarence Short; cousins-in-laws Vaden Mitchell, Warefield Mitchell. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
