It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late of Pattie Suzanne Young of Beachside, NL, age 52, announces her passing on December 10, 2024 at Central Newfoundland Hospital, Grand Falls – Windsor, NL.

Pattie leaves to remember with fond and loving  memories; her husband Ian; parents Marie & Howard Bennett; sisters Lori Bennett, Lorraine (Paul) Loder, brother Shannon (Shelly) Bennett; parents-in-law Neil & Greta Young; brothers-in-law Owen (Betty Lou) Young, Sheldon (Melanie) Young, Ryan (Jennifer) Young; nieces Amy (John) Sinkwich, Maci, Allie, Holly (Ken) Oxford; nephews Adam, Andrew, Zachary, Shane, Justin, Thomas, Henry; great-nephews Cameron, Wesley, Jayden, Joshua, Eli; great-nieces Shayla, Melanie. Special friends Susanne Bennett and Melissa Pelley, as well as many loved aunts and uncles and a large circle of family and friends.

Pattie is predeceased by grandparents Gordon & Elsie Bennett, Calvin & Gertie Verge; grandparents-in-law Gordon & Jacqueline Young, Harry & Adelia Sparks.

Our hearts are broken to announce the unexpected passing of our precious daughter, sister & wife.  Pattie was a person who impacted everyone she met. She made friends easily and everyone that met her described her as a gentle, kind soul. She had a positive attitude and carried that attitude with her whether she was happy or in pain. The past 3 years were especially difficult health wise resulting in her having to go on dialysis and losing her leg. This meant she spent a lot of time going to and from appointments but she always arrived at each appointment with a smile and cheerful attitude.

We would like to send our sincere thanks and gratitude to her home care workers & the amazing staff at the dialysis unit, you took exceptional care of our beloved Pattie.

As expressions of sympathy in her memory donations may be made to the family.

The funeral service will be held from Springdale Pentecostal Church on Sunday December 15, 2024 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Kimberley Foster officiating. Interment will be  at the Beachside Community Cemetery, Beachside, NL.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
