It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patsy Lorraine Normore, age 66, of Miles Cove, NL announces her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on April 23, 2015.

Patsy was born on December 30, 1948 in Twillingate, NL to Lester and Mae Dawe of Burlington, NL. She met and married Abram Mills; they had a girl whom they named Glenda. Abram passed away at a very young age; at the time of his passing they were expecting their second child. Their second child was a son, so Patsy named him Ivan Abram Mills after his dad.

Approximately ten years later she met and married Chesley Normore of Baie Verte, NL. It was late summer - early fall they moved to Miles Cove, NL. Chesley''s four children then became a part of Patsy''s life as well. Ten months after their marriage, they had a son together whom they named Daniel.

Patsy had a great love for many things in life. She loved to sew (passed her love of sewing unto her daughter Glenda), she loved to bake, loved the outdoors, many days during the summer Chesley and her would sail the waters on their sailboat together. Patsy enjoyed daily walks up until her health failed her. She would enjoy the opportunity to visit with her son Ivan and his family in Burlington. Daniel the youngest was mom''s boy! Patsy loved to give to others. She sent many care packages to her step-children, which she took great pride and joy in being able to do so.

Though she loved her family deeply, her first love was for her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! Patsy had a strong faith and leaves a Godly legacy to her family and friends.

She was content in life by doing things for others. As a result of that desire to help others, she was heavily involved in her community and church as a volunteer.

Though departed from us, her memory lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Gone but not forgotten!!

She is predeceased by her first husband Abram Mills; parents Lester and Mae Dawe. Patsy leaves behind husband Chesley Normore; daughter Glenda (Jody) Smith; sons Ivan (Valerie) Mills and Daniel Normore; grandchildren Christian Smith, Noah Mills, and Michael Mills; step-daughters Alison Normore, Deidre Normore (Jarett Williams), and Damaris Normore (Tom Hall); step-son Niles Normore (Wendy Kuenzig); step-grandson Trevor Hall; brothers Bob (Edna) Dawe and Clayton (Denise) Dawe; as well as many other family members and friends.

The Home Going Service was held from Miles Cove Pentecostal Church, Miles Cove, NL on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2:30 pm with Pastor David Wells officiating, assisted by Pastor Joan Wells. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Miles Cove, NL. The pallbearers were sons Ivan Mills, Daniel Normore; grandson Christian Smith; son-in-law Jody Smith; brother Clayton Dawe; nephew Johnathan Dawe. Arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock, Elaine M. Rideout, and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
