It is with great sadness the family of Patricia 'Patti' Fitzgerald (Winsor) announce her passing on August 19, 2023.

Left with fond and loving memories are her daughter Amy (Chris), son James (Beka); granddaughters Fiona and Rylie. Siblings Linda (Eli), Rose (Cecil), Dawson (Winona), Sharon (Lawrence), Graham (Ruth), Joann (Graham) and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Patti was predeceased by her parents Hazel and Stewart Winsor.

Patricia (Patti) Marie was born in Deer Lake, NL on March 4, 1962. She was the fifth of seven children of Stewart and Hazel Winsor. Their primary residence was on Wight's Road in Deer Lake but Stewart's employment also took them to Goose Bay and Stephenville for short periods of time.

Although she had 6 siblings, her stories of childhood memories would usually include her younger brother Graham and sister Joann.

Patti was mom to two beautiful children Amy and James. She also was Nanny to her precious girls Fiona and Rylie.

Patti lived most of her life in Deer Lake but also made her home in Fort McMurray, AB and Triton.

Her employment included detailing buses and vehicles and most recently Hotel Housekeeping at the Deer Lake Motel.

Patti was strong willed and somewhat stubborn.  She knew what she wanted to do and usually did it!  A little over two years ago she faced the Cancer battle head on and boy did she put up a good fight. Diagnosed at stage 4, she was lucky to be chosen to do Immunotherapy and she did amazing, even returning to work while doing treatment.  Issues arose and treatment was changed to chemo. Patti tried so hard to beat this dreaded disease and will always be remembered for her will to live.  On August 19,2023 at her residence in Triton, she became too tired to carry on and she passed away surrounded by her family.

As per Patti's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family funeral service will take place at Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, Nl with burial at Triton Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
