It is with sadness that the family of the late Pansy Curtis, age 63, announces her passing on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from St. Claire's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, NL.

Pansy Curtis was born on August 25, 1952 to Fred and Edna Spencer of Springdale. Pansy married the love of her life, Roy Curtis on March 21, 1970. Together they raised three children, Tony, Andy and Kimberly and enjoyed 6 grandchildren, Ryder, Emily, Isaiah, Parker, Carter and Bailey.

She enjoyed life to the full. Her numerous hobbies included: sewing, quilt-making, baking, cake decorating, and homemaking. Pansy loved Christmas time with family gatherings. Her family was the center of her world. She was involved in various church activities, such as sewing group and church committees. Pansy was loved by her church family and community. She worked with the Department of Fisheries (DFO) for over a decade, where she was highly respected and shared many friendships.

Pansy and Roy have been blessed with a large circle of relatives and friends. Pansy will be missed by all who knew her. She is now safe in the arms of her Lord.

She is predeceased by her mother Edna Spencer and her infant brother Barry Spencer.

Pansy leaves to mourn husband Roy Curtis; daughter Kim (Shawn) Hayes; sons Tony (Mindy) Curtis, Andy (Crystal) Curtis; grandchildren: Ryder Curtis, Emily Hayes, Isaiah Budgell, Parker Curtis, Cater Hayes, Bailey Curtis; father Frederick Spencer (Blanche Brenton); sister Christine (Roger) Osmond; brothers Don (Mamie) Spencer, Wayne (Maxine) Spencer. She had many nieces and nephews; they were all very special to her, as well as many other relatives and friends. Pansy will be truly missed by all who knew her, she will never be forgotten, and her memory will stay alive within the hearts of her family and friends.

The Home Going service was held from Springdale Pentecostal Church, Springdale, NL on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Pastor L. Foster officiating, assisted by Pastor N. Joy, Major J. Abbott. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Cherry Crescent, Springdale, NL. Pallbearers were her sewing group friends Maxine Spencer, Yvette Saunders, Betty Joy, Maisie Butt, Christine Burton, Pearl Tizzard, Nada Rose, Phyllis Saunders. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jonathan Noel, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
