It is with sadness that the family of the late Otto Stanley Vincent, age 85 of Triton, NL announces his passing at Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale, NL on Saturday, May 07, 2016.
Otto was born to Norman and Janet Vincent on January 14, 1931. On September 20, 1955, he married the love of his life, Celia Helda Jane Simms, and settled on Vincent's Point. In 1960, they moved from Vincent's Point and settled in Triton, NL.
He was a hard worker and provided well for his family. He spent most of his life as a logger with A.N.D. Company which later became Abitibi-Price.
Otto loved life and truly enjoyed his family and friends. He had a personal relationship with God. He was saved and spiritually transformed on April 23, 1967.
Otto is predeceased by parents Norman and Janet Vincent; son Willie Vincent; brothers Ronald Vincent, Gordon Vincent, Bramwell Vincent, Harvey Vincent, Hubert Vincent; sisters Violet Vincent, Annie Vincent.
Leaves to remember the wonderful life he lived wife Celia Vincent; sons Lindy (Winnie) Vincent, Corvin (Penney) Vincent, Leo (Marie) Vincent, Pratt (Verna) Vincent, Kemp Vincent, Jeff (Natasha) Vincent; daughters Deborah (Charles) Bridger, Della (Lloyd) Mayo; daughter-in-law Hazel Vincent; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Alma Vincent, Phyllis Vincent, Shirley Vincent, as well as many other family members and friends. He will surely be missed by his family and friends, but not forgotten. They will cherish the memories built together on earth and they await that "
glad reunion morning
."
The Service of Tribute and Memory was held from the Salvation Army Citadel, Triton, NL on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Captains Steven and Lynette Barrett officiating. Interment was at The Evergreen Cemetery, Triton, NL. Honorary Pallbearers were Kemp Vincent (son); Captain Corey Vincent (grandson). Pallbearers were Jeff Vincent (son); Lloyd May, Charles Bridger (sons-in-law); Justin Vincent, Nathan Mayo, Pastor Andy Vincent (grandsons). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Bill Weeks, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
