Obituary

It is with sadness that the family of the late Otto Amos Burton of
Springdale, age 82, announces his passing on January 17, 2014.
Otto was born June 2, 1931 to Johnny and Beatrice Burton of Long Island. On March 23, 1954, he married Hazel Rideout and together they raised 9 children. Otto worked as a fisherman and carpenter but is remembered best for his work with the Pentecostal School Board as bus driver and maintenance man. He was very soft spoken but held firmly to his convictions. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He truly will be missed. He leaves to mourn his wife, Hazel; daughters, Eileen Burton, Lovetta (Dennis) Helmuth, Peggy (Edward) Roberts; sons, Wayne (Jean) Burton, Tony (Primrose) Burton, Larry Burton, Melvin Burton, Andy (Deanna) Burton, Randy Burton;13 Grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren; 2 Great-great grandchildren; sisters Joyce Reid and Evelyn Paddock. He is pre-deceased by parents, Johnny and Beatrice Burton; brothers, Wallace, Gideon, Raymond, Jordon; sisters, Josie Burton and Myrtle Tucker.
Funeral service was held on January 21, 2014 from Springdale Pentecostal Church with Pastor Lindsey Foster officiating and assisted by Pastor Norman Joy. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Springdale. The pallbearers were his sons, Wayne, Tony, Larry, Melvin, Andy and Randy. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
