It is with sadness that the family of the late Minnie Blanche Whitt (nee Tizzard), age 73 of Springdale, NL announces her passing on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale.

Minnie was born April 22 1946 to Elsie and William Tizzard. She grew up in Springdale, NL and at the age of 21 married the love of her life Harvey Whitt. They had two children together Andre and Kimberley. She had 4 grandchildren Samantha, Morgan, Cole, Bobbi-jo; 1 great-grandchild Odin. Minnie lived in many different parts of Canada following around her husband, as he was a miner. In the mid 90's they moved back to Springdale, where she lived the remaining time of her life till the age of 73.

Hunting and fishing were some of her favourite things to do but I think shopping was her favourite (Harvey called her "Kmart"). She made the best blueberry grunt pudding with booze in the sauce and always had a pot on the stove. Her door was always open for any visitors and they were always welcomed.

She is predeceased by her parents William and Elsie Tizzard; brothers Ward Tizzard, Ches Tizzard.

Minnie leaves to mourn and remember the life that she lived, her husband Harvey Whitt; daughter Kimberly (Todd) Osmond; son Andre (Janice) Whitt; grandchildren Samantha Whitt, Morgan Whitt, Cole Osmond, Bobbi-Jo Young; great-grandchild Odin Salo, sisters Yvonne Wellman, Patricia (John) Saunders; brothers Lester (Ruby) Tizzard, Lindsey (Elaine) Tizzard, as well as other extended family and friends. She will surely be missed by all her family and friends.

Ever Remembered, Ever Loved – Forever In Our Hearts!

As per Minnie's wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
