It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Alice Anthony (nee Paddock), age 81, of Robert's Arm, NL announces her peaceful passing from the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale, on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
Mary was born on January 16 th , 1940 in Robert's Arm to Nathaniel and Myrtle Paddock. She married the love of her life Gerald Anthony on July 19 th , 1958. They were blessed with a son and a daughter whom she loved dearly. She welcomed her son-in-law and daughter-in-law with love into the family. She was so proud of all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary ran a convenience store with her mother Myrtle for many years. After that she took a job as cook with the construction company that her husband Gerald worked for at the time. She loved being able to go to work with him.
Mary had many hobbies. She loved knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, preserving, and gardening. She always loved sharing what she had made. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. What a wonderful life to celebrate. She will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her husband Gerald Anthony; parents Nathaniel and Myrtle Paddock; brothers Raymond Paddock, James Paddock (infant brother).
Mary leaves to remember the wonderful life that she lived, children Perry Anthony (Selina Payne), Marcie (Ken) Jenkins; grandchildren Nigel (Stephanie) Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Emily Jenkins, Tyler Decker, Allan Payne, Nathan Payne; great-grandchildren Noah Jenkins, Taaliyah Decker, Karenza Payne, Sophie Payne, Elijah Payne; sister Rowena (Alvin) Roberts; brothers Edward (Rose) Paddock, Donald (Ada) Paddock, as well as nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. She will be missed by her family and friends, but not forgotten.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Centennial United Church, Robert's Arm, on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Mrs. Barbara Noble officiating. Interment was at the Centennial United Church Cemetery, Robert's Arm. Pallbearers were grandchildren Nigel Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Emily Jenkins, Nathan Payne; brothers Edward Paddock, Donald Paddock. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
