It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marjorie P. Paddock, age 96, of Robert''s Arm, NL announces her passing at the Valley Vista Senior Citizen's Home, on December 24, 2014. On December 29, 1917 Margery was born in Robert''s Arm, NL to Israel and Theresa Hewlett. On May 11, 1937 she married the love of her life, Marmion Paddock. Together they raised their four children Flossie, Roy, Alfreda and Sandra. Margery had a great love for many things in life. She liked to work with her hands doing many different things such as weaving, gardening, cooking, etc. Margery loved her family deeply and was only too glad to be able to stay at home and care for her family as a homemaker.

Margery also loved to attend church, reading the word and being involved in the life of her church. She wouldn''t miss church unless it was absolutely necessary; when the church door was opened you were sure to find Margery in attendance. She was a member of the Centennial United church for many years, where she was a member of the UCW and taught Sunday school for 52 years.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Margery was dearly loved and will forever be in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Predeceased by husband Marmion Paddock; parents Israel and Theresa Hewlett; son Roy Paddock; daughter Flossie Tucker; granddaughter Rhonda Morey; sister Minnie Martin; step-father Abner Anthony. She leaves to mourn her daughters Alfreda (Dan Campbell) and Sandra (Rupert Fudge); grandchildren Kevin Tucker(Jackie), Brenda Penney (Neil), Neil Paddock (Michaela), Dale Paddock (Donna), Elaine Quinn (Dave), Amy-Lynn Paddock, Ada Parsons (Tony), Ramona Fudge, Tyler Fudge and Tiffany Fudge; 10 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law June Paddock; son-in-law Ron Tucker; sister Stella Ryan.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Centennial United Church, Robert''s Arm, NL on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. William Matchem officiating. Interment was at Centennial United Church Cemetery, Robert''s Arm, NL. The pallbearers were granddaughters Ramona Fudge and Tiffany Fudge; grandson Kevin Tucker; nephew Don Paddock; grandson-in-law Neil Penney; nephew-in-law Lester Hancock. Arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
