It is with sadness that the family of the late Major Ralph Fudge, age 57 of Brighton, NL announces his sudden passing at The Health Science Centre, St. John's, NL on Friday, June 24, 2016.

Ralph was born (1959) to Fred and Hazel Fudge in Brighton, Newfoundland. In 1979, he married Gloria Newbury, the love of his life. Five short years later, with two small children in tow, they left for St. John's to begin a new chapter in their lives and entered into The Salvation Army Training College to prepare for ministry.

He was an individual who deeply loved people. This was evident in his outgoing personality and always cocked and loaded smile.

The outdoors was created by the God of the universe and he truly loved His handiwork. He not only loved His handiwork but he thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, admiring His beautiful creation and all that was a part of it. He loved to hunt, fish, ride his boat and anything else that involved being active in the outdoors.

Major Ralph is predeceased by his parents Frederick and Hazel Fudge; 5 infant siblings.

He will surely be missed but not forgotten by his family, colleagues in ministry, parishioners, and friends. They will cherish the memories built together on earth and they wait that "glad reunion morning."

Major Ralph leaves to remember the wonderful life he lived wife Gloria Fudge; sons Troy Fudge, Matt (Leah) Fudge; grandchildren Mackenzie Fudge, Mason Fudge, Violet Fudge; brothers Rex (Mavis) Fudge, Cecil (Patsy) Fudge, Clayton (Geraldine) Fudge, Ira (Annetta) Fudge; sisters Velma Pynn (Lester Locke), Vera Jean Fudge (Sean) Smith, Verbena (Colin) Winsor, Theresa (Wayne) Newbury; as well as many other family members and friends.

The Promotion to Glory Service was held from the Salvation Army Citadel, Triton, NL on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Captains Steven and Lynette Barrett officiating. Interment was at the Brighton Community Cemetery, Brighton, NL. Pallbearers were Major Wayne Green, Major Rex Paddock, Captain Randy Kirby, Major Barry Anstey, Major William Kean, Captain Ken Brown, Major Fred Pond, Major Wycliffe Reid (Colleagues in The Salvation Army). Flag Bearer was Major Larry Fudge. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
