Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leah Blanche Ryan-Budgell (nee: Austin) of King''s Point, NL age 79, announces her passing, on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale, NL.

Leah was born to James and Elizabeth Austin of Snook''s Arm on October 11th, 1936. She married the late Clarence Ryan of Round Harbour. Together they raised six children, three boys and three girls. In 1989, she married Ronald Fred Budgell and enjoyed 26 happy years together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She loved to have a laugh and her sense of humor was contagious. Whoever met her, loved her. She loved to sing and read her Bible. One of her favorite things to do was to watch and feed the different birds. She enjoyed working with her hands. Her favorite hobby was embroidering.

Leah often said, "I want to go Home". Her prayers were answered on October 31, 2015, when she passed peacefully into His presence. Now she is resting in Jesus'' arms.

She is predeceased by husband Clarence Ryan; parents James & Elizabeth Austin; brothers Freeman Austin, Sterling Austin, Ronald Austin, Ernest Austin, Ralph Welshman.

Leah will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn Husband Roland Fred Budgell; daughters Alice (Ross) Saunders, Shirley (Wade) Janes, Judy (Ben) Prouse; sons Lawrence Ryan, Wade Ryan, Craig (June) Ryan; step-son Rick (Pat) Wiseman; grandchildren Quentin (Donna) Ryan, Quentina Ryan, Wanda-Lee Saunders, Chad Saunders, Stephen (Teraza) Janes, Melissa (Jeremy) Warford, Rachel-Ann (Corey) Spencer, Ryan Prouse, Lucas Prouse, Cole Ryan, Toby (Tracy) Thomas, Kandra-Rae Wiseman, Justin Wiseman; great-grandchildren Makayla, Ada, Quinn, Jayden, Gabriella, Loghan, Novaley, Soleil, Hunter; brother Alfred Austin; special care-givers Judy Burton, Claudine Gagne, Bonnie Warford; as well as other extended family members and friends.

The Home Going service was held from Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL on Wednesday, November 04, 2015 at 11 am with Pastors Murdock Pittman and Gary Bartlett officiating. Interment was at the Ocean View Interfaith Cemetery, Middle Arm, NL. Pallbearers were sons Larry Ryan, Craig Ryan, Wade Ryan; sons-in-law Wade Janes, Ross Saunders; grandson Ryan Prouse. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Chris Morgan, Elaine M. Rideout, and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
