It is with sadness that the family of the late Laurence Oxford, age 66,announces his passing on November 6,2012 at Green Bay Community Health Centre, Springdale, NL.

Survived by his wife, Glenys Thompson-Oxford; daughter, Dawn Wellman (Bennett); son, Tilden; daughter, Celeste Robinson (Nevin); grandchildren, Theodore Lush, Devin and Deidra Wellman, Jessica, Jordan and Logan Robinson; brothers, Wilson (Lucy), Gerald (Pearl), Eldon, Lindsay (Josie), Clarence (Barbara), Harry (Betty), Otto (Greta), and Kevin (Donna); sisters, Joan Stoodley (Bill) and Lottie Penney (Roland); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dallas Stagg & Lou Pelley, Hollis & Ruby Thompson, Milton & Daphne Thompson, Graham & Maxine Thompson, Glenda & Freeman Cull and numerous precious family and friends.
Laurence lived his life to the fullest. His children were his pride & joy and his grandchildren were his jewels. Along with the love of his life and best friend, Glenys, they enjoyed the great outdoors, boating, fishing, camping, ski-dooing, etc.
At a very early age Laurence gave his life to the Lord. He was an active bandsman, songster, member of the men''s fellowship and Cub Scout leader. Music was a huge part of Laurence''s life. He could make any instrument sing. He had the voice of an angel.
He gave countless volunteer hours to the Salvation Army. Although Laurence was a huge prankster, who loved good practical jokes he was a strong and silent witness to his faith. His life was a living testimony.
For a man of such strong faith and love of music, he literally sang his way into heaven accompanied by his loving family.
