JOSEPH REID 1934-2012
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joe Reid of Springdale announces his passing on January 18, 2012. He was born in Miles Cove July 18, 1934 and married the love of his life, Elsie Clarke on January 28, 1960. Together they raised two daughters Sharon & Karen. As was evidenced from the messages and tributes, Joe left a wonderful legacy of love for God, family and work and was a role model for many. He impacted many lives with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2009 Joe and Elsie returned to Springdale where he was a source of encouragement and blessing to everyone he came into contact with. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Moody & infant daughter Darlene. Left to remember the wonderful life that he lived are: wife Elsie, daughters Sharon (Gary), Karen (Raymond); grandchildren Reid, Gary-Joe, Clarke, Kara-Lee; brothers Malcolm, Wesley, Clyde, Jerdon & Norman; sister Flossie; step-brothers Eldron & Mervin; step-sisters Joan & Marjorie as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted the funeral service on January 21, 2012 from Springdale Pentecostal Church, with interment following at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons-in-law Gary & Raymond Colbourne, grandson Gary-Joe Colbourne, brothers Norman, Jerdon, & Mervin. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home
