It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Joseph Herman Hopkins of Long Island, NL, age 71, announces his passing on April 3, 2024 at Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale, NL.

Joseph leaves to remember with fond and loving memories; his wife of 51 years, Maisie; daughter, Joanne (Greg) Hopkins-Peckford; son, Dwayne Hopkins; grandchildren, Darryl (Rebecca) Hopkins, Cody Peckford, Baylee Peckford, Brianna Gunn, Quenton Gunn, Scylla Van Mills, & Ivy Daley; great-grandchildren, Cole Hopkins, Rowan Gunn, Ryder Peckford, Braxton Hopkins, & Octavia Peckford; brother, Winston (Celia) Hopkins; sisters, Doris Lidstone, Barbara Elson, Violet (Raymond) Ward, Heather (Cecil) Hopkins; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Edgar & Jessie Hopkins; parents-in-law, Wilbert & Ivy Rideout; brothers, Terry Hopkins, Arch Hopkins and Ralph Garland Hopkins; brother-in-law, Lloyd Rideout.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held from The Salvation Army Church, Long Island, NL on Thursday April 11, 2024 at 2 pm with Majors Larry & Phyllis Fudge officiating.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
