It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph "Joe" Smallwood Croucher, age 72, of South Brook, NL announces his passing from the Health Science Centre, St. John's on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

Joseph Smallwood Croucher was born November 18, 1947 to Moody and Alfreda Croucher of Beaumont, NL. He was the eighth of ten children, four girls and 6 boys. At an early age he moved to South Brook, Halls Bay with his family. Around the age of 15 he moved to Ontario to work as a punch press operator.

He met his spouse Irene Cooper in Ontario and together they had three children, one boy and two girls. They raised their children in Zephyr, ON. Irene passed away at the age of 65. After Irene's passing he moved back to Triton, NL and on his travels, Joe met and married Donetta Short of Robert's Arm.

Joe's greatest passions were out on the water catching a fish or spending time in the woods rabbit catching or cutting his winters wood. His greatest passion was to settle down for a nap on his couch. Joe loved his family dearly and did whatever he could to provide for them.

He is predeceased by his parents Moody and Alfreda Croucher; spouse Irene Cooper; brothers Jack Croucher, Jerry Croucher; sisters Pat Maley, Dorothy Brinham.

Joe leaves to mourn Donetta Croucher; son John (Sheila); daughters Shyann, Denise (Jay); grandchildren Jody, Stevie, Katie, Mitchell, Jayme; brothers Job (Ann), Jimmy (Loretta), Michael (Cathy); sisters Linda, Olive; nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends.

Note: Cremation will take place and there will be no viewing or service as per Joe's wishes.

Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
