It is with sadness that the family of the late Johanna Doreen Roberts (known as Joan) of Triton, NL, age 64, announces her passing, on Friday, April 15, 2016 from the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale, NL.

Joan was born to Eliel and Effie Parsons of Robert''s Arm on July 02, 1951. She met and later married the love of her life, Clifford Roberts of Triton, NL on September 27, 1968. Together they raised three children, Lorna, Juanita, and Danny; who later gave them the gift of grandchildren Kayla, Brady, and Cameron. They all were the apple of her eye.'' April 1982, she began her working career with Fisheries Products International.

She came into this world with intent to make it a happier place and she did; humor came naturally to her. Joan loved to have a laugh and one never knew what was coming next. She loved life to the fullest, the words, " live every moment, love beyond words, laugh everyday" was Joan''s life, no matter life''s circumstances. Joan displayed a positive demeanor in and through everything, even her sickness.

Joan enjoyed life by playing darts, shopping, and cooking. She loved flowers and the outdoors. Joan loved to be on the go, go, go, the car was never idle; if the car moved, so did she! She made many lasting memories with Clifford, the children, grandchildren, her sisters (the bond between them was like no other) and her many friends.

Approximately two years ago, Joan made a decision that changed her life forever and eternity by accepting Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.

Joan is predeceased by her parents Eliel and Effie Parsons.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Leaving to remember the wonderful life that she lived are her husband Clifford Roberts; daughters Lorna Roberts (Paul Winsor), Juanita Roberts (Rod Vincent); son Danny (Roxanne) Roberts; grandchildren: Kayla Roberts, Brady Roberts, Cameron Roberts; sisters Lucy Hewlett, Eileen (Augustus) Roberts, Judy (Colin) Vincent, Mildred (Pleaman Fudge), Avis (James) Osmond; as well as nieces, nephews, many other extended family members and friends.

The Home Going service was held from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton, NL on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 2 pm with Pastor Kent Sceviour officiating. Interment was at the Triton Evergreen Cemetery, Triton, NL. The honorary pallbearers were grandsons Brady Roberts, Cameron Roberts. Pallbearers were nephews Curtis Roberts, Greg Roberts, Almo Roberts; friends Randy Roberts, Lee Winsor, Lindy Vincent. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Bill Weeks, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
