It is with broken hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Jason Rex Heath, age 36 of Springdale, NL announces his passing in Edmonton, AB on February 5, 2020.

Jason was born on September 15, 1983 to Lewis and Bernice Heath of Springdale. He was the youngest of four siblings.

Jason was a warm soul with a huge heart, and he cared deeply for his family and friends. Jason gave more than he had to give to those whom he cared for, often to the determent of his own well-being. All he ever truly wanted was to love and be loved. The songs of his life adorned his playlist, from the old country music that was influenced by his father to the rock-n-roll influenced by his brothers to the acoustic anthems that resonated from his very soul that was all his own.

Jason was passionate about anything with an engine. He loved his SRT-10, Corvette, Porsche 911, and Victory, often finding solace in the sound of an engine. Jason's work took him across North America; he was a Journeyperson Welder and an Iron Worker. He was passionate about construction planning and always tried to find a better way to do what has always been done.

Jason was predeceased by his dad Lewis Heath Jr.; his grandparents Lewis Sr. and Mary Heath, Graydon and Janet Verge; uncles Rex Heath, Gerald Burton, Fred Wells, Eric Foote, Clayton Starkes, Ben Weir; aunts Lulu Butt, Audrey Wells, Debbie Saunders, Jean Burton, Rennie Heath.

He leaves to mourn his mom Bernice Heath; brothers Graydon (Cavell), Ted (Valerie), Perry (Michelle); nephews Cole Heath, Damian Short; niece Alexia Short. He also leaves to mourn a large number of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and those who became his family away from home.

Gone, never forgotten, loved, and forever in our hearts and minds.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 11:00 am with Majors Brian and Betty Thomas officiating. Interment was at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Springdale. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
