It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivy Normore-Chappell (nee Short) of Springdale, NL, age 91, announces her passing on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale.

Ivy Winnifred Normore-Chappell (nee Short) was born March 7, 1926, to John and Rosella Short at Wellman's Cove. She was the 9 ^th of 10 children. In 1943 she married Alfred Normore and together they had 3 sons and 4 daughters. In 1990 she married George Chappell.

Ivy was a faithful member of Springdale Pentecostal Church and was involved in its various ministries, where she taught Missionettes, Crusaders, and Sunday School.

Throughout her life Ivy enjoyed farming, sewing, knitting, cooking, and reading. She especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as her friends and extended family.

Ivy is predeceased by her husband Alfred Normore; 2 ^nd Husband George Chappell; parents John and Rosella Short; sisters Bessie Short, Rhoda Normore, Emily Morey, Whilemina Morey, Josephine McKay; brothers Hubert Short, Cecil Short, Ambrose Short.

She leaves to mourn her brother Henry (Rosanna) Short; sister-in-law Netta Short; sons Darius (Wavey) Normore, Alfred Normore, Cecil (Vera) Normore; daughters Nellie Tizzard; Gail Normore (Glenn Rowsell), Rose Kakekagumick, Sherry Normore; grandchildren Dean Normore, Tammy (Rex) Anstey, Danny (Sheryl) Normore, Jody (James) Anstey, Bill (Maxine) Tizzard, Tracy (Doycen) Shiner, Carolyn Wiseman, Jacqueline Wellman, Tracey (Scott) Anstey, April Kakekagumick; great-grandchildren Jade (Cody) Matthews, Jonathan Anstey, Joshua Anstey, Cody Shiner (Amanda Burton), Nikita Shiner, Alexandria Wiseman (Nathan Payne), Meaghan Wiseman, Matthew Anstey (Kena Stuckless), Toni-Marie (Brandon) Power; great-great grandchildren Jasper Matthews, Carter Anstey; as well as nieces, nephews, many other extended family members and friends.

The Home Going service was held from the Pentecostal Church, Springdale, on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Lindsey Foster officiating. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Cherry Crescent, Springdale. The pallbearers were grandsons Dean Normore, Danny Normore, Bill Tizzard; nephews Mervin Short, Guy Morey; great grandson Cody Shiner. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
