Obituary

It is with sadness that the family of the late Ida Julia Fudge, age 73, of Brighton, NL, announces her passing at The Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook on February 24,2014. Ida was born to Selby & Althea Verge on March 10,1940. She served faithfully in various positions in the Brighton Corps and was known as a quiet and reserved woman, loving everything and everybody. She left a lasting impression in many hearts. She leaves to mourn and remember her Godly legacy, her husband Ford; sons Donald (Pansy), Brian (Monica), Jerdon & Michael; daughters Catherine, Gloria & Sherry Roberts (Keith); brothers, Wilfred Verge, Francis Verge (Linda), Clarence (Primrose); sisters: Ruby Guy, Mavis Fudge (Rex), Bonnie Fudge (Floyd); mother-in-law: Neta Noseworthy; brothers-in-law: Melvin (Geraldine), Calvin (Loretta), Laurence (Maunda) & Allister (Sandra); sisters-in-law: Joy, Connie (David), & Tracey; grandchildren: Paulette, Christie, Patti Lynn, Christopher, Krista, Blake, Be-jay, Jared, Brydie, Meghan & Brady; great grandchildren: Jordan, Erica, Robyn, Ryan, Ethan, Owen, Anna, Alex, Max, & Macy. Pre-deceased by her parents, Selby & Althea Verge, sister Lillian Butt, infant children Tony & Coralie, father-in-law Roland, sisters-in-law Gwen Henstridge & Lulu Verge. The Thanksgiving and Remembrance service was held on February 28, 2014 from The Salvation Army, Triton with Captain Julia Butler officiating, supported by Majors William & Trixie Kean. Interment was at the Brighton Community Cemetery. The pallbearers were her family members; Brian Fudge (son);Don Fudge (son),Jordan Fudge (great-grandson),Steven Collins (grandson-in-law),Blake Fudge (grandson) Krista Appleby (granddaughter),Jerdon Fudge (son), & Keith Roberts (son-in-law). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harry Oxford f Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL. Donations in Ida's memory can be made to The Brighton Cemetery Committee. A box will be provided at the church or you can mail it to :The Brighton Cemetery Committe, Brighton, Nl A0J 1B0
